Stored XSS via unescaped admin column
Published Aug 18, 2026 · Updated Aug 19, 2026
Stored XSS in orgSeries-admin.php in PublishPress Series before 2.17.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via a crafted series name. The orgSeries_custom_column_action function builds HTML for the admin post-list series column and inserts the stored series name, part number, and edit link into anchor markup without output escaping. Exploitation requires high-privilege access to create or rename a series and a victim to open the affected WordPress admin listing, limiting impact to browser-side execution in that user's session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
