Administrator LDAP credential disclosure via client-side inspection
Published Apr 14, 2026 · Updated Apr 14, 2026
Insufficiently protected credentials in Fortinet FortiSandbox and FortiSandbox PaaS allow remote authenticated users to read LDAP credentials. The LDAP configuration page returns saved LDAP server credentials to the browser, where client-side inspection exposes them. Administrator access to the GUI is required, and the consequence is limited to credential confidentiality in the affected releases.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=4.4.0 <=4.4.9
- Affected versionversion=5.0.0 <=5.0.5

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
