Code execution via malicious-file out-of-bounds write
Published Apr 14, 2026 · Updated Apr 14, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe InDesign Desktop 20.5.2 and 21.2 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a malicious file. Adobe identifies the flaw as an out-of-bounds write but has not published the affected parser, file format, or erroneous write operation. A victim must open the crafted file; successful exploitation runs code with the victim’s current-user privileges on Windows or macOS.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
