Code execution via crafted-file out-of-bounds write
Published Mar 10, 2026 · Updated Mar 10, 2026
Out-of-bounds write in Adobe Illustrator 29.8.4, 30.1 and earlier allows attackers to execute code via a malicious file. Adobe has not disclosed the affected parser or the memory operation that writes beyond its allocated buffer while processing the file. Exploitation requires a victim to open the crafted file; resulting code runs with current-user privileges and can read or modify accessible data or crash Illustrator.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
