CVE-2026-27210Network attack vector

Cross-site scripting via unfiltered hot spot attributes

Published Feb 21, 2026 · Updated Feb 21, 2026

Cross-site scripting in Pannellum 2.5.0 through 2.5.6 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript via malicious JSON configs. The createHotSpot function passed each hot spot attribute name and value directly to setAttribute, including event-handler names that execute inline script. Exploitation requires a site to host the standalone viewer or consume untrusted JSON; visiting a crafted viewer URL can alter page content within the hosting site's origin.
