Stored XSS via unchecked table column type
Published Feb 24, 2026 · Updated Feb 24, 2026
Stored XSS in Craft CMS 4.5.0-RC1 through 4.16.18 and 5.0.0-RC1 through 5.8.22 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript. Table field validation accepts a submitted html column type omitted from the UI, and editableTable.twig renders its persisted value as markup without neutralization. Exploitation requires an administrator account, allowAdminChanges in production, and another user viewing the malicious table field.
