Unauthorized agent-role assignment via missing request nonce
Published Feb 19, 2026 · Updated Feb 19, 2026
CSRF in ThimPress RealPress 1.1.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to assign the agent role to a subscriber via a forged request. The handle_become_an_agent() handler trusts realpress-action and user_id GET parameters and changes the target user's role without verifying a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires an administrator to load the crafted URL while authenticated and the target subscriber to have a pending agent request.
