Authenticated arbitrary file upload via missing type validation
Published Mar 19, 2026 · Updated Mar 19, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in ThemeGoods Photography before 7.7.6 allows remote authenticated users with Editor access to upload files via web requests. The theme's undisclosed upload handler accepts attacker-controlled files without file-type validation and permits path traversal. Editor-level access is required; successful uploads can place executable backdoors on the affected WordPress server.
