Authenticated code execution via unrestricted file upload
Published Apr 2, 2026 · Updated Apr 2, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Progress ShareFile Storage Zones Controller 5.12.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The controller accepts an attacker-supplied file and makes it executable on the server without adequately restricting dangerous file types; public sources do not identify the affected endpoint or handler. Access to an authenticated upload path is required, and successful exploitation runs attacker-controlled code on the Windows server.
