Agent prompt injection via unsanitized workspace path
Published Feb 19, 2026 · Updated Feb 19, 2026
Prompt injection in OpenClaw before 2026.2.15 allows local users to alter agent behavior through a crafted workspace directory name. The system-prompt builder interpolates the current working directory without removing newline, Unicode control, format, or line-separator characters. Exploitation requires OpenClaw to run from an attacker-named directory and can trigger unintended tool use or disclose sensitive information.
