CVE-2026-26952Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Stored HTML injection via unescaped DNS record attribute

Published Feb 19, 2026 · Updated Feb 19, 2026

Stored HTML injection in Pi-hole Web Interface 6.4 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter the DNS records table. The populateDataTable() row callback inserts API-returned DNS record data into a data-tag attribute through an HTML template string without escaping it. Administrator access is required; double quotes terminate the attribute and add arbitrary HTML attributes, while the default CSP blocks inline JavaScript and limits impact to UI spoofing and partial defacement.
