Authenticated denial of service via malformed search input
Published Feb 26, 2026 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Improper input validation in Kibana 8.4.0 through 8.19.11, 9.0.0 through 9.2.5, and 9.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt service. The internal Content Connectors search endpoint accepts manipulated input without adequate validation, but Elastic has not disclosed the offending field or processing operation. A low-privileged account and at least one configured Content Connector are required; successful requests interrupt availability without reported data access or modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=8.4.0 <=8.19.11
