Authenticated file disclosure via Avatar path traversal
Published Feb 19, 2026 · Updated Feb 19, 2026
Path traversal in CyreneAdmin 1.0 through 1.3.0 allows remote authenticated users to read server files via a crafted Avatar value. The /api/system/user/getAvatar Image Handler resolves the attacker-controlled Avatar value without confining the resulting path to avatar storage. Low-privileged access is required; exploitation discloses files readable by the server process without altering data or interrupting service.
