CVE-2026-26895Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Username enumeration via password-reset timing discrepancy

Published Apr 2, 2026 · Updated Apr 2, 2026

Timing-based user enumeration in osTicket 1.18.2 and earlier allows remote attackers to identify valid usernames through password resets. The /pwreset.php sendmail path performs SMTP delivery for an existing username but immediately rejects an unknown one, exposing account validity through response latency. The unauthenticated attack requires SMTP to be configured and discloses usernames only; it does not directly expose credentials.
