Arbitrary command execution via crafted file paths

OS command injection in textract 2.5.0 and earlier allows attackers to execute arbitrary host commands through crafted file paths. Multiple extractors concatenate filePath into shell command strings passed to child_process.exec(), while rtf.js escapes only spaces and leaves shell metacharacters effective. Exploitation requires control of a processed file name or path, such as a user-uploaded document, and executes commands with the privileges of the consuming application.
