Authenticated SQL injection via unsafe group interpolation
Published Mar 12, 2026 · Updated Mar 12, 2026
SQL injection in GL.iNet GL-AR300M16 4.3.11 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary SQL via a crafted HTTP request. The add_group function inserts the user-controlled group value into CREATE TABLE statements with string.format, then passes the resulting SQL to sqlite3.exec without parameterization or sanitization. A valid administrative session token is required; the published exploit demonstrates attacker-chosen database creation and writes on the router filesystem.
