Database disclosure via item_serial SQL injection
Published Mar 2, 2026 · Updated Mar 2, 2026
SQL injection in the admin search of SourceCodester Personnel Property Equipment System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to read database data. The advance_search.php handler passes the item_serial POST value into an SQL query without neutralizing SQL syntax, and a crafted updatexml expression exposes the database name. The published proof of concept supplies the default administrator credentials and a PHP session cookie, so exploitation is demonstrated only after access to the admin endpoint.
