Unauthenticated job and trace access via route omission
Published May 15, 2026 · Updated May 15, 2026
Authentication bypass in MLflow 3.9.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to access FastAPI job and trace routes without credentials. The _find_fastapi_validator function returns no validator for non-gateway paths, so ASGI middleware lets those requests bypass basic authentication. Exposure requires the basic-auth app under uvicorn; attackers can submit or cancel jobs, read results, and inject trace data.
