Dashboard content injection via unneutralized tab identifier
Published Apr 13, 2026 · Updated Apr 13, 2026
HTML injection in the Dashboard module of Vtiger CRM 8.4.0 allows remote attackers to alter rendered dashboard content via tabid. The DashBoardTab view's getTabContents action places the user-supplied tabid parameter into dashboard output without neutralizing HTML metacharacters. Exploitation requires a victim to render the injected content in a browser; the record establishes attacker-controlled HTML but not script execution or service interruption.
