Authenticated internal service discovery via SSRF
Published Jun 3, 2026 · Updated Jun 3, 2026
SSRF in Koha 25.11 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to scan internal networks through configured Z39.50/SRU servers. The configuration workflow stores an attacker-chosen host and port, and cataloguing/z3950_search.pl then opens the server-side connection and reveals whether it timed out or failed. Access to create a server entry and launch a cataloguing search is required; the demonstrated consequence is discovery of listening internal services, not code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
