Unauthorized command execution via mismatched command representations
Published Feb 19, 2026 · Updated Feb 19, 2026
Improper access control in OpenClaw before 2026.2.14 allows remote authenticated users to execute unapproved commands on a node. The node-host system.run handler evaluates an attacker-supplied rawCommand against the allowlist and approval policy but executes a separately supplied command array without verifying that both represent the same command. Exploitation requires node execution, security=allowlist, approval prompts such as ask=on-miss, and permission to invoke system.run; default and non-node deployments are unaffected.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
