Resource exhaustion in Ethereum Foundation go-ethereum before 1.17.0 allows remote attackers to consume node memory via a crafted p2p message. The upstream advisory has not disclosed the message type or code path; it states only that processing the crafted peer message drives high memory usage. An unauthenticated network peer can degrade node availability, while confidentiality and integrity effects are not reported.
