Sensitive device account disclosure via unauthorized export
Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026
Incorrect authorization in PowerSYSTEM Center allows attackers to expose administrator-restricted device account data through its REST API. The device account export REST API endpoint returns sensitive information to limited-permission accounts without enforcing the administrative authorization required for that export. The requester must hold a limited-permission account and reach the service from an adjacent network; the disclosure requires no user interaction.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=5.8.x <=5.28.x
