Admin-to-root command execution via unvalidated admin email
Published Mar 3, 2026 · Updated Mar 3, 2026
OS command injection in Froxlor before 2.3.4 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to execute commands as root. validateFormFieldEmail discards a comparison instead of setting string_type to mail, so panel.adminmail accepts pipe-containing input that AcmeSh.php concatenates into safe_exec. Exploitation requires panel administrator access, Let's Encrypt enabled, acme.sh absent at its configured path, and the root cron task to run.
