Authenticated file overwrite via unsanitized upload path
Published Feb 17, 2026 · Updated Feb 17, 2026
Path traversal in Blossom 1.17.0 through 1.17.1 allows remote authenticated users to write files outside the upload directory. The BLOSManager.put file-upload path uses attacker-controlled input without neutralizing traversal elements, so the resolved target can escape the restricted parent directory. Low-privilege access to the network upload function is required; successful requests can overwrite files reachable by the Blossom service account.
