Unauthenticated file access via unsafe object unmarshalling
Published Feb 24, 2026 · Updated Feb 24, 2026
Unsafe deserialization in Beyond Limits DocLink 4.0.336.0 allows remote attackers to read and write files through .NET Remoting. Altec.RDCHostService.exe exposes the doclinkServer.soap ObjectURI over TCP and HTTP/SOAP without authentication and unmarshals attacker-controlled objects that specify local or UNC paths. Any reachable endpoint permits arbitrary file reads, SMB credential coercion, and file writes; code execution requires a writable IIS-served path, while overwriting other files can interrupt service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
