Unauthenticated command execution via import-enabled hooks
Published Feb 12, 2026 · Updated Feb 12, 2026
Code injection in the Crawl4AI Docker API before 0.8.0 allows remote attackers to execute system commands through crafted crawl hooks. The hook manager executes the hooks.code value with exec() while exposing import in allowed_builtins, so supplied code can load os or subprocess. An unauthenticated network path to /crawl is sufficient, granting command execution and server file read or write access.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
