CVE-2026-2617Public exploit

Administrative shell access via reactivated Telnet

Published Feb 17, 2026 · Updated Feb 17, 2026

Authentication weakness in Beetel 777VR1 firmware 01.00.09 allows attackers on the local network to gain administrative shell access. The diagnostic interface permits TELNET_STATE MIB modification and removal of Telnet from the LAN ACL, exposing a root-equivalent shell that accepts shared default credentials. Exploitation requires access to the router's UART or diagnostic interface; successful activation permits persistent administrative control over the device.
