CSS injection via malformed comment parsing
Published Feb 11, 2026 · Updated Feb 11, 2026
CSS injection in Roundcube Webmail before 1.5.13 and 1.6.0 through 1.6.12 allows remote attackers to alter rendered message styles. The rcube_utils::mod_css_styles parser removes comments inconsistently, allowing malformed comment and brace sequences to escape intended CSS scoping and sanitization. A recipient must open the crafted message, after which attacker-controlled CSS can manipulate the displayed webmail interface.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
