Authenticated file read via preprocessor imports
Published Apr 21, 2026 · Updated Apr 21, 2026
Information disclosure in October CMS before 3.7.14 and 4.0.0 through 4.1.9 allows remote authenticated users to read server files. The CMS editor, media manager, and upload interfaces accept .less, .sass, and .scss assets whose compiler import directives resolve attacker-supplied server paths. Editor permission and cms.safe_mode are required for this bypass, which exposes readable server-side files without granting write access or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
