CVE-2026-26059Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Account takeover via renamed group role XSS

Published Feb 19, 2026 · Updated Feb 19, 2026

Stored XSS in ChurchCRM 6.8.0 allows remote authenticated users with group-edit rights to execute script in a group viewer's browser. GroupEditor.php sanitizes a role name when created but accepts a JavaScript payload when that role is renamed, then renders the stored value in Group View without safe output encoding. Group-edit permission is required to plant the payload, and viewing the group triggers it; default cookie flags allow session theft and account takeover.
