Authenticated file disclosure via unchecked import path
Published Feb 13, 2026 · Updated Feb 13, 2026
Path traversal in Tandoor Recipes before 2.5.1 allows remote authenticated users with import permissions to read server files. The RecipeImport API accepts an arbitrary file_path, and Local.get_file opens that stored path without confirming it remains beneath an approved storage root. Import permission and the Local storage backend are required; successful exploitation discloses chosen files readable by the service account.
