Stored XSS via unescaped task preview description
Published Feb 11, 2026 · Updated Feb 11, 2026
Stored XSS in TaskGlanceTooltip.vue in Vikunja before 1.1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script when a user hovers over a task. The descriptionPreview computation assigns the unescaped task description to innerHTML on a detached div while extracting preview text. An attacker must share a project containing the crafted task and induce another user to view and hover over it, enabling access to or modification of data in that user's browser session.
