Cross-patient DICOM state access via unchecked document IDs

Authorization bypass in OpenEMR before 8.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to read or modify other patients' DICOM viewer state. The view_action and retrieve_action methods in controllers/C_Document.class.php load request-supplied doc_id values without binding each document to patient_id or checking patient or encounter ACLs. Access to the DICOM viewer endpoint is required; enumerating document IDs exposes or alters annotations, view settings, PHI, and imaging metadata.
