CVE-2026-25925Public exploit

Code execution via trusted JSON type metadata

Published Feb 9, 2026 · Updated Feb 9, 2026

Insecure deserialization in modery PowerDocu before 2.4.0 allows attackers to execute code via a crafted Flow or App package. FlowParser.parseFlow and the App parser configure Newtonsoft.Json with TypeNameHandling. All, causing deserialization to instantiate arbitrary .NET types named by untrusted $type metadata. A user must select and open the malicious package; resulting code runs on the Windows machine with that user's privileges.
