CVE-2026-25901Network attack vector

Browser script execution via unescaped association output

Published May 26, 2026 · Updated May 26, 2026

Cross-site scripting in Joomla! CMS 4.0.0 through 5.4.5 and 6.0.0 through 6.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute browser script. The multilingual associations component emits affected output without context-appropriate escaping; Joomla has not disclosed the specific view or input. High-privileged access and passive interaction are required, after which script runs in the affected browser context and can read displayed data or act as that user.
