Authenticated XSS via unescaped feed module output
Published May 26, 2026 · Updated May 26, 2026
Cross-site scripting in Joomla! CMS feed modules 3.0.0 through 5.4.5 and 6.0.0 through 6.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts. Feed module output reaches generated pages without required escaping, but Joomla has not identified the affected templates or feed fields. Exploitation requires high privileges and passive interaction by another user, exposing that user’s browser session to attacker-controlled script.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
