Local code execution via unqualified RunDll32 lookup
Published Jun 18, 2026 · Updated Jun 18, 2026
Unquoted search path handling in Yandex Punto Switcher 4.5.0.583 and earlier allows local users to execute arbitrary code. The Windows build passes an unqualified RunDll32.exe command to WinExec while invoking shell32.dll Control_RunDLL input.dll, so Windows can select an attacker-planted executable earlier in its search order. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access and runs the replacement executable with the rights of the affected user.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
