CVE-2026-25794Network attack vector

Process crash via overflowing UHDR pixel allocation

Published Feb 24, 2026 · Updated Feb 24, 2026

Heap-based buffer overflow in ImageMagick before 7.1.2-15 allows remote attackers to crash processes via large UHDR images. WriteUHDRImage in coders/uhdr.c multiplies attacker-controlled dimensions with 32-bit int arithmetic, wraps the pixel-buffer size, and allocates too little heap memory before writing pixels. Triggering requires processing a large-dimension UHDR output; the upstream advisory reports a process crash and out-of-bounds heap write, but no code-execution result.
