Cross-session script execution via unsanitized TO names
Published May 12, 2026 · Updated May 12, 2026
Stored XSS in Siemens SIMATIC S7 PLC web servers allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in another user's web session. The Motion Control Diagnostics page renders an unvalidated, unsanitized Technology Object name supplied through a downloaded TIA project. Exploitation requires project-download authorization and a later visit by a user with page access, causing script execution within that user's session.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
