Authenticated metadata disclosure via unchecked vhost lookup
Published Feb 12, 2026 · Updated Feb 12, 2026
Authorization bypass in the LavinMQ HTTP API before 2.6.6 allows remote authenticated users to read metadata from unauthorized vhosts. The with_vhost helper retrieved any named virtual host and yielded it to API handlers without checking the caller's vhost permissions. Management API credentials and a guessed vhost name are required; exposed data includes queues, exchanges, bindings, and message statistics.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
