CVE-2026-25766Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated file read via backslash path traversal

Published Feb 19, 2026 · Updated Feb 19, 2026

Path traversal in LabStack Echo 5.0.0 through 5.0.2 on Windows allows remote attackers to read files via encoded backslashes. middleware.Static applies URL-style path cleaning, which leaves backslash traversal sequences intact before defaultFS passes the path to os.Open. Exploitation requires both default filesystem settings and exposes local files readable by the Echo process without authentication or user interaction.
