SSRF via protocol-relative URL host override
Published Feb 9, 2026 · Updated Feb 9, 2026
SSRF in lostisland Faraday 1.0.0 through 1.10.4 and 2.0.0 through 2.14.0 allows remote attackers to redirect application requests. Connection#build_exclusive_url passes a protocol-relative path to URI merging, which replaces the configured base authority with the path's host. Exploitation requires a consuming application to pass attacker-controlled paths into Faraday request methods, enabling off-host requests and possible disclosure of request data.
