Privilege escalation via unescaped command-palette titles
Published Feb 11, 2026 · Updated Feb 11, 2026
Stored XSS in Statamic CMS 6.0.0 through 6.2.2 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript in higher-privileged browsers. The command palette passes attacker-controlled content-title text through fuzzysort highlighting and renders the resulting HTML without escaping the title first. Control Panel access and content-creation permission are required, and a higher-privileged user must view the title; execution can create a super admin account.
