Unauthenticated application access via malformed session cookie
Published Feb 12, 2026 · Updated Feb 12, 2026
Authentication bypass in authentik before 2025.10.4 and 2025.12.4 allows remote attackers to access protected applications. A malformed session cookie makes the Proxy Provider omit all X-Authentik-* identity headers during Traefik or Caddy forward authentication. Exposure requires an upstream application that treats those missing headers as authorization, allowing attackers to read its protected data.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
