Restricted file disclosure via symlink resolution bypass

Authorization bypass in Anthropic Claude Code before 2.1.7 allows remote attackers to read denied local files through symbolic links. The file-access permission check evaluates the requested symlink path against settings.json deny rules without enforcing the resolved target path. Exploitation requires a denied target, an accessible symlink, and user-triggered analysis of attacker-controlled repository content, exposing files that the configured policy was intended to block.
