CVE-2026-25702Network attack vector

Firewall bypass via incorrect kernel backport

Published Mar 5, 2026 · Updated Mar 5, 2026

Improper access control in SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12 SP5 allows remote attackers to bypass nftables firewall rules. The SUSE-specific kernel backport leaves rules applied through nftables ineffective; SUSE has not disclosed the responsible function or incorrect operation. Exposure requires an affected SLES 12 SP5 kernel and reliance on nftables, allowing otherwise blocked network traffic to reach protected services.
