CVE-2026-25691Network attack vector

Authenticated directory deletion via vmimages path traversal

Published Apr 14, 2026 · Updated Apr 14, 2026

Path traversal in Fortinet FortiSandbox, FortiSandbox Cloud, and FortiSandbox PaaS allows remote authenticated users to delete directories. The vmimages delete feature fails to confine a directory pathname supplied through a crafted HTTP request to its intended storage tree. Exploitation requires a super-admin profile and CLI access, but deletion can reach an arbitrary directory and disrupt data or service operation.
