Browser script execution via unsanitized AI answers
Published Jun 9, 2026 · Updated Jun 9, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Apache Answer 2.0.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute scripts when AI-generated answers are viewed. The AI-answer browser renderer passes model-generated response content into HTML rendering without neutralizing alternate XSS syntax. Exploitation requires malicious content to reach an AI-generated response and a user to view it, enabling script execution in that viewer's browser context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
