CVE-2026-25660Network attack vector

Unauthenticated permission escalation via missing-session authorization

Published Apr 24, 2026 · Updated Apr 24, 2026

Authentication bypass in Ericsson CodeChecker 6.27.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to assign arbitrary permissions to existing users. BasePermissionHandler.has_permission treated every absent authentication session as proof that authentication was disabled and returned true without checking the server state. An authentication-enabled server is exposed; control of an existing user account turns an anonymous addPermission call into superuser access.
